The Perrigo Company (NASDAQ: PRGO) today announced that C. Ted Borgel, a pharmaceutical industry veteran of more than 35 years, has been named Vice President of Quality and Compliance. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all quality assurance and regulatory compliance functions and will serve as a member of the Corporate Planning Team.

Mr. Borgel comes to Perrigo from Decision Management International, a regulatory consulting firm with expertise in regulatory compliance, manufacturing process improvement and documentation systems. Prior to Decision Management International, he held senior management roles at Eli Lilly, Cartrix Parenteral Systems, Alcon Laboratories and Bausch & Lomb. In his 18 years at Bausch & Lomb, he was Director of Operations, Vice President of Research and Development, Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
