Perrigo Company (NASDAQ: PRGO)(TASE: PRGO) today announced that it has received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market Sulfacetamide Sodium Topical Suspension, 10% (Lotion).
The product has been determined to be therapeutically equivalent (AB) to Sanofi-Aventis' Klaron® (Sodium Sulfacetamide) Lotion, 10%, which is indicated for the topical treatment of acne. Klaron® Lotion had sales of approximately $15 million for the 12 months ended January 2009, as measured by Wolters Kluwer Health.
